An INSURANCE pricing methodology where the PREMIUM charged an INSURED is intended to cover EXPECTED LOSSES and operating and administrative expenses, and provide an equitable return to providers of CAPITAL. Fair premium is comprised of PURE PREMIUM and PREMIUM LOADING (which also includes EXPENSE LOADING). Also known as GROSS RATE.
