The way a company or organisation promotes itself to the general public. It may be its workers, customers, suppliers and investors. The public relations department promotes the goodwill of the company through charitable donations and acts such as supporting community events and sponsoring charitable acts. The company wants to be seen in a good light and as seen as being a benefit to the community.
