REVERSIONARY LEASE

the term that is given to the lease that will go into effect when the current lease expires.

NULLITY OF MARRIAGE

the term applied to a law suit that will annul a marriage. Also known a nullity suit.

INVOLUNTARY TRUST

the term given to a trust that comes into being by the operation of laws that are in existence.

PREFERENTIAL TRANSFER

the transferring of property by a debtor who is insolvent to a creditor and excluding transfer to other creditors.

COMMON-LAW HUSBAND

the term that is given to a man who is cohabiting and living with a woman who have not been joined by marriage. See common-law wife.

INHERITANCE TAX

the name of a tax that is levied on the transfer of goods that have been left to a person.

NONDISCRIMINATION CLAUSE

a clause found in a public contract with a private contractor where he is not allowed to discriminate when hiring employees.

NONCANCELLABLE POLICY

a health insurance policy that the insurance company cannot cancel as long as the premiums are paid.

COLLATERAL LIMITATION

the limitation that gives an interest in property for a set period of time but the right to posses depends upon a related event.

COMMUNITY PROPERTY

This term applies to the proprty that is held between a husband and wife and belongs to both of them.

FAIR AND IMPARTIAL TRIAL

a trial where the rights of the defendant is safeguarded by an impartial judge and jury deciding the matter.
