PLANNING CONTINUUM

A series of different steps and decisions that are taken in order to identify goals, objectives and needs, and then plan a way to achieve and fulfill those needs.

PLANNING ESTIMATE

The estimated costs that might be incurred during the implementation of a plan. A planning estimate is usually derived from the provided information, and can be based upon various planning factors.

PLANOGRAM

An drawing created by shopkeepers in order to get a better idea of how to effectively manage space on shelves.

PLANT ASSETS

The materials used within plants, either directly or indirectly for the production of goods or services.

PLANT LEDGER

An accounts ledger that must be maintained by the plant, detailing all of the information on a certain asset.

PLANT PROPERTY

The capital assets which are utilized by the plant in the manufacturing of goods and services.

PLANT WALK THROUGH

A test carried out for plants in which each portion of the plant is carefuly defined and pondered upon, in order to check the coordination between the different materials.

PLANT-WIDE OVERHEAD RATE

An estimation which depicts the amount of money it will take to manufacture a certain item within a certain department of the company.

PLASTIC MONEY

A term commonly associated with credit cards, debit cards, NFC technology, etc.

PLASTICITY

A characteristic of any material to deform over and over again, without actually breaking apart due to the force applied.

PLAT

A plan created of a certain building, area, streets, etc.

PLATE

A finalized metal product, rolled flatly, having a breadth to a maximum of 48 inches, and exhibiting thickness less than 12 inches.

PLATFORM PRODUCT

Any piece of equipment or appliance, whose primary design features are used in various other products of a certain family or products.

PLATINUM

Platinum is a metal that is highly precious, since it has the longest life on shelf and is also the strongest. It is the most expensive metal in the world.

PLAYBACK STABILITY

The amount of years through which data can be recovered on any magnetic disk or tape, without any errors.

PLEA BARGAINING

An agreement set up between the plaintiff and the defendant to come to a resolution about a case, without ever taking it to trial.

PLEA IN BAR

An answer given by the defendant which completely defeats all actions/ charges levied by the plaintiff.

PLEDGE FUND

A kind of fund in which all of the members are generally trying to achieve a certain goal. Usually, in such a fund, the contributions are clearly defined.
