COPPING A PLEA

This terms means to plead guilty to a lesser offense than that charged and it is accepted by the court.

This means to prevent, stop or bar something from happening.

an organisation that does not issue stock and there is nothing in its charter that provides for profits or dividends.

NATIONAL CURRENCY

the money that is issued by a federal government that is used as the legal tender of the country.

BIRTH CONTROL

used to prevent a pregnancy and is practiced in several ways such as abstinence, condoms, diaphragms, jellies and oral contraceptive tablets.

PATERNAL PROPERTY

the term that is used to describe any property that is inherited from a person’s father.

PARTNERSHIP ASSETS

the term that is applied to the property that belongs to a partnership and not the individual members.

LIMITED AUTHORITY

the term applied to the authority and power that is restricted to certain duties and functions.

NONCONFORMING USES

a term used for the ordinances that restrict the types of buildings that can be erected in certain areas.

CAPITAL EXPENDITURE

This term applies to money that is spent to improve the company’s property such as a building for the company’s use.

HALF-PROOF

the proof of one witness or one document that is not enough to decide a case.
