BACKLOG TRAP

The negative effect that pending work puts on operations. When one element of the system is not available it holds up production.

BALANCE CARRIED FORWARD

1. a place where passengers sleep on a ship or train. 2. where a boat is moored when loading and discharging passengers or cargo.

BEST EFFORTS

1.stating that a certian result won’t necessarily occur. Good faith promises that it will get as close as is humanly possible. 2. A high standard that if it isn’t met is excusable.

BEYOND CHARGE

A charge on freight that covers costs fo getting the cargo from the port to the destination.

BIG THREE

The three main US auto manufacturers. They are General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.

BILL OF LADING (B/L)

A document a carrier or agent gives a shipper to carry the goods. It can be a receipt for cargo that is to be taken to a destination.

BINARY-BARRIER OPTION

A hybrid of the BARRIER OPTION and BINARY OPTION that grants the buyer a payoff equal to a fixed cash or ASSET amount if the price of the UNDERLYING market reference breaches

An investor who searches but does not buy a property.
