What is HEAT OF PASSION?

In criminal law. A state of violent and uncontrollable rage engendered by a blow or certain other provocation given, which will reduce a homicidefrom the grade of murder to that of manslaughter. A state of mind contradistinguishedfrom a cool state of the blood. State v. Wieners, 66 Mo. 25; State v. Andrew, 76 Mo.101 ; State v. Seaton, 106 Mo. 198, 17 S. W. 171 : State v.
