Any ASSET on the balance sheet with a final maturity of less than one year. Common current assets include cash, marketable securities (e.g., BONDS, COMMON STOCK, PREFERRED STOCK, and other investments), INVENTORY, and ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE.
