What is SLUICEWAY?

An artificial channel into which water is let by a sluice. Specifically, a trench constructed over the bed of a stream, so that logs or lumber can be floated down to a convenient place of delivery. Webster. See Anderson v. Munch, 29 Miuu. 410, 13 N. W. 102.
