What is REVEST?

To vest again. A seisin is said to revest, where it is acquired a second time by the party out of whom it has been divested. 1 Rop. Husb. & Wife, 353. It is opposed to “divest.” The words “revest” and “divest” are also applicable to the mere right or title, as opposed to the possession. Brown. .
