What is PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM (PMS)

The Pantone Matching System is a trademarked name, which provides specifications of more than a thousand different ink colors by their number. The PMS is useful for a number of different printing processes, and consists of Pantone spot colors, as well as Pantone process colors.
