HOOKE’S LAW Definition & Legal Meaning

The elastic limit on a solid material. The strain is measured to show how much a material can take and have the same shape. When the limit is passed it is the limit of proportionality. Robert Hooke discovered this in 1676. Refer to elastic modulus.
