What is GAZETTE?

The official publication of the English government, also called the “LondonGazette.” It is evidence of acts of state, and of everything done by the king in hispolitical capacity. Orders of adjudication in bankruptcy are required to be publishedtherein ; and the production of a copy of the “Gazette,” containing a copy of the orderof adjudication, is evidence of the fact.
