Inflammation of the stomach and the intestines. General symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Typical cause is varied. Also caused by lactose intolerance. Some common causes are bacteria or virus infestation, food poisoning, or eating contaminated food.
