1. A vehicle that allows portioned investment in a company in trade for portioned ownership of that company. Stock or shares represent that ownership traded. Fluctuation in the value of the company is represent in a stock market as the worth of these shares. 2. Ability given as a right to buy or sell one investment vehicle, then trade for another in a particular company.
