EQUITIES MARKET Definition & Legal Meaning

Ordinary shares of various types of stocks are bought and sold in a central trading place, called a securities market. In the US there are several of such markets, collectively called The US equities market. The American Stock Exchange (AMEX), NASDAQ National Market, and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are examples of the larger recognized national and international securities markets.
