What is EIRENARCHA?

A name formerly given to a justice of the peace. In the Digests, theword is written “irenareha.” Eisdem modis dissolvitur obligatio quae nascitur ex contractu, vel quasi, quibuscontrahitur. An obligation which arises from contract, or quasi contract, is dissolved inthe same ways in which it is contracted. Fleta, lib. 2, c. 60, 5 19.
