Common corporate control transactions include MERGERS, friendly or HOSTILE TAKEOVERS, LEVERAGED BUYOUTS, and RECAPITALIZATIONS. In some national systems the corporate control market also serves as a monitoring mechanism for GOVERNANCE purposes.
