An assembly or so- ciety of persons who together constitute the flf] principal supporters of a particular parish, or habitually meet at the same church for religious exercises. Robertson v. In the ecclesiastical law, this term is used to desiguate certain bureaus at Rome, where ecclesiastical matters are attended to.
