What is COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION?

A simple rough measure of relative dispersion in probability distribution. Written as a ratio of standard deviation to mean. It serves mainly as a measure of relative risk. Known also as Pearson’s coefficient of variation after its formulator Karl Pearson.
