What is CENTRONICS INTERFACE?

Standard 36pin parallel port connection interface for a computer and printer. Developed by the Centronics printer company, which is now defunct, it is now governed by IEEE 1284B protocol, and slowly being replaced by the universal serial bus (UBS) or Firewire.
