MILLIBAR Definition & Legal Meaning

Original unit of measure for atmospheric pressure. Older but still most widely used. The newer unit is called a kilopascal One millibar equals one-thousandth of a bar, about 0.03 inches or 0.76 millimeters, of mercury, or about 0.14 pounds per square inch. A kilopascal equals 10 millibars.
