What is ERASABLE, PROGRAMMABLE, READ ONLY MEMORY (EPROM)?

Type of motherboard ROM used for long-term reused information, such as system BIOS, hardware configurations, and other defined, pre-set information. This ROM can be reused, but only for the same information when upgraded.
