What is CHRONIC FAILURE?

Failure occurring rather often in a system that takes just a little time to correct. Chronic failures are typically low-impact and seemingly low-cost events. However, over the life of the system, these little failures add up to losses much greater than expected when compared to failures incurred in other systems.
