What is PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN?

An individual who is the first person to be contacted in the case of a medical emergency. The patient has received medical treatment from this individual for an extended period of time. This individual also takes care of other aspect of the individual’s health that does not require the expertise of a specialist.
