What is DIRECTIONAL STRATEGY?

An OPTION STRATEGY that seeks to take advantage of expected market direction rather than VOLATILITY to generate a profit. Common directional strategies include BULL SPREADS and BEAR SPREADS. See also VOLATILITY STRATEGY.
