What is CONTRIBUTION ANALYSIS?

Calculating the prices of sale along with variable (direct) costs of certain ranges of products, for computing the degree to which every unit sold will contribute to fixed (indirect) costs and add to net profit. Contribution analysis demonstrates if firms are restrained by variable costs while trying to achieve higher output.
