ENERGY EFFICIENCY RATIO (EER) Definition & Legal Meaning

Definition & Citations:

Relative efficiency of a cooling or heating appliance or equipment. Contrast to overall efficiency. A measured value expressed as the ratio of output-per-hour versus the energy consumed, measured in watts-per-hour. Output is expressed in British thermal units or Btus. Refer to coefficient of performance (COP) and energy factor (EF).
