Caused by the movement of electrons in a conductor from positive and negative points. A type of energy. Used for providing power to buildings, electric devices, and even some automobiles. Several people are responsible for electricity produced as we know it, but the most well-known person is Benjamin Franklin and his flying kite experiment where he determined electrical discharge is what lightning was.
